# 7. Solana

The ARVO token is issued on the Solana blockchain.

Solana was selected for its high transaction throughput, low network fees and established infrastructure. These characteristics support efficient governance, staking and Treasury activity while keeping transaction costs low.

The network benefits from a mature ecosystem of wallets, decentralised exchanges, infrastructure providers and developer tools. This supports broad accessibility and reduces dependence on proprietary infrastructure.

The choice of blockchain does not influence the investment strategy or operation of the portfolio businesses. Those businesses continue to operate independently, while Solana provides the infrastructure for token issuance and protocol participation.
