# 5. Portfolio Strategy

Arvo expands through the acquisition and development of operating businesses that strengthen the Treasury and support the protocol's long-term objectives.

Investment opportunities are evaluated against the investment framework set out in this whitepaper rather than by reference to any particular sector. The focus remains on businesses with sustainable profitability, experienced management, strong commercial fundamentals and clear opportunities to create additional value through operational improvement, strategic development or disciplined capital investment.

***

The protocol considers opportunities across sectors including:

* Real Estate.
* Software.
* Artificial Intelligence.
* Digital Infrastructure.
* Ecommerce.
* Established private businesses with recurring or predictable profits.

***

The protocol is not restricted to these sectors. Additional industries may be considered where they satisfy the investment framework and contribute to the long-term growth of the Treasury.

The same investment principles apply regardless of industry, transaction size or stage of business maturity.

As the portfolio expands, the Treasury benefits from multiple independent sources of operating profit. Diversification across sectors and businesses reduces reliance on any single operating business while creating a broader and more resilient economic foundation for the protocol.

The objective is not to maximise the number of businesses owned, but to build a portfolio of high-quality operating businesses that generate sustainable profits and make a meaningful long-term contribution to Treasury growth.
