# 10. Staking

Staking enables ARVO holders to commit their tokens to the protocol for a defined period in exchange for Treasury-funded rewards and participation within the Arvo ecosystem.

Participants may choose from any available staking vault based on their preferred commitment period. Longer commitment periods are intended to recognise participants who support the long-term development of the protocol.

| Vault      | Lock Period |
| ---------- | ----------- |
| Build      | 60 Days     |
| Advance    | 90 Days     |
| Compound   | 180 Days    |
| Foundation | 365 Days    |

Staking rewards may comprise ARVO tokens, stablecoins or a combination of both, depending on the applicable staking vault and the protocol's reward policy. Reward pools are funded through the Arvo Treasury and are determined through the protocol's Treasury allocation policy and governance framework, taking into account the long-term sustainability of the protocol.

Participants may withdraw their tokens at the end of the selected lock period. Early withdrawal is not permitted while tokens remain committed to an active staking vault. Additional staking rules, including any applicable grace periods and operational procedures, will be published prior to the activation of each staking vault.

Reward levels are reviewed periodically and are not fixed or guaranteed. Treasury-funded rewards are determined with reference to factors including:

* Treasury performance.
* Distributable profits received from operating businesses.
* Treasury capital requirements.
* The total amount of ARVO staked.
* Market conditions.
* Governance decisions.

***

The staking framework is designed to support long-term participation while ensuring reward distributions remain sustainable and aligned with the performance of the Treasury.

As the protocol develops, staking will integrate with the wider Arvo membership framework. Governance may introduce additional participation requirements, protocol functionality and ecosystem services that recognise long-term participation in accordance with governance-approved policies.
